On a beautiful spring morning, four members of Dorking Men’s Shed took part in the ‘Spoke to a Bloke’ walk from Worthing Pier to Brighton Marina.
The walk formed part of a global event organised by the Spoke to a Bloke charity, which raises awareness of men’s mental health and encourages open conversation and connection.
Around 30 men set off at 8am, covering 22km along the coastal promenade and cycle route. Spirits were high throughout, with just one well-earned stop in Shoreham for tea, cake and fruit before continuing the journey.
Dorking Men’s Shed members Tony, David, Kevin and Tim reached Brighton Marina at around 1.30pm, where they celebrated their achievement with a well-deserved drink!
A fantastic effort by all involved, and a great example of how simple conversations - and shared experiences - can make a real difference.
